Sr. WebSphere Engineer / Architect

Description

A Leader in the Insurance and Financial Services industry is growing their Engineering and Support staff and is seeking a Senior WebSphere Administrator. You will be responsible for J2EE Server systems configuration, engineering, administration/support as well as involved in architecture and performance monitoring and tuning of the servers.

ALL SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:



  • 2+ years of WebSphere systems design, engineering and support.

  • 2/3+ years of UNIX systems administration (Solaris, HP, AIX, Linux, etc.)

  • Solid UNIX shell scripting or C/ Perl background (for automation purposes)

  • J2EE application troubleshooting (memory leaks, locks, DB calls, etc.)

  • Committed, professional background and serious about working with the best


ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE A PLUS:



  • WILY diagnostic tools, Vitria, or F5 Big IP exposure

  • Previous Java/ J2EE programming or development experience

  • IIS Server or .Net web server background

  • BEA Weblogic, JBoss or similar experience

  • BS degree

  • Big shop pedigree (can handle the size/ scope and scale)
